  • Notes
    • [1891 & 1901 British Census] [Capel Parish Records].

Ellen Cheeseman was born ca December, 1882, in Capel, Surrey. She was baptized at St. John the Baptist Church in Capel on 14 January, 1883. Her parents lived at "Radgate Field", and her father wa>
      s a laborer.
On 7 April, 1904, she married a bricklayer, John Herbert FRANCIS, in Capel. Ellen's father was a "Farm Laborer" at the time.
Ellen was probably the source of Daisy Ellen England's middle name. Ellen in turn was probably named after her aunt, Ellen Lindfield.
Ellen listed her occupation as "Mothers Help" in 1901.
